I bought it to take to work since we have too many people trying to use one little printer & the bottleneck is ridiculous. I do very little photo printing with it; my main usage is printing out text & text with graphics. It's smooth, quiet & solid. The colors, even in draft mode are better than I've seen in quality mode on my old HP printers. The copy function is very nice; it's quick & the quality is very good. It's a pretty big unit, so measure your space before you get this sucker at home. It's solid, with easy functionality in Windows XP. The on-unit screen functions well for copies and scans. Paper tray is decent sized, and perpendicular so gravity helps pull paper in (instead of horizontal trays).
