The job to correct saggy skin seems to be fourfold: 1) Reverse skin damage to increase elasticity and tighten the skin itself as much as possible so that if you do something that creases or pulls it, the skin will start bouncing back instead of wrinkling and so, even if the muscle is saggy, your skin stays tight as it can. That's a long-term every-day process with the right ingredients like Renova, Vitamin C, copper peptides. 2) Protect your skin from damage by using creams with Co Q-10 or Idebenone (Prevage) or Alpha Lipoic Acid. These keep cells from being damaged by environment and probably movement, too. 3) Take DMAE, eat foods rich in DMAE and choline, and put DMAE on your face! DMAE tightens the resting muscle contraction which is the support for those layers of fat and skin. 4) Stop eating sugar! Perricone: "Sugar ... is responsible for about half of all skin sagging. It causes a rise in blood sugar, creating inflammation which damages skin cells and causes saggy, wrinkled skin." (There go my peanut M&Ms..... :-( ) 5) Tone all your muscles with exercise, increasing circulation at the same time. Weight-lifting particularly pumps growth hormone into your system and that is the fountain of youth. Studies have shown that athletes have much thicker skin than the rest of us, and there are probably more skin differences not yet assessed. Exercise in general has a lot of anti-aging benefits including increased circulation which brings oxygen and nutrients to muscles and skin. 6) Facial Exercises: Although many doctors don't really think facial exercises themselves do a lot - the facial exercisers disagree! but they agree that Most people believe now that all this aging damage isn't necessary. The push is on to find ways, therefore, to correct the damage we've done.
